Artist statement

“As a photographer I have grown to identify more and more with self portraiture. The more I explore, the more I have come to believe that I am a photography artist and not merely a photographer; meaning that for me photography isn’t merely an art of capturing beautiful objects but a tool to create a moment, a story, a world. The aim isn’t to recreate beauty but to give an outlet to the essence of thoughts, moods and inspirations.”

“I love my work because it never ceases to teach me new dimensions of myself, my creativity and my thoughts. For me the most exciting experience as a photographer always is when I am the mind behind the camera and the persona in front of it simultaneously. It gives me an opportunity to focus with better clarity on my inner self. For me that exercise is meditative enough! ”
